Martin Buchmann
Martin has been active in sports since his
youth. He has practised athletics, triathlon, cycling, skiing
and football at competitive level. He sought closeness to sports
and movement also in his profession – Martin worked for
the sports manufacturer Adidas for over twelve years in sports
promotion. At the end of 2003 he began Pilates training after
surgery in the back. He could experience the effectiveness of
this integral training method in his own body. In 2004 Martin
began training at the Pilates Academy of Switzerland to become
a Pilates personal trainer to teach on the mat and on all apparatus,,
and he was certified in 2006. He also acquired extensive knowledge
of anatomy, physiology and pathology at Bio-Medica, a school
for western and far-eastern medicine. Martin has been teaching
Pilates since February 2005, working in his own studio -bd pilates
studio- since the beginning of 2008.

Yasemin Karaboga
Yasemin completed a certification programme
in 2000 to become an aerobics instructor by the S.A.F.S (Swiss
Academy of Fitness and Sports) and has been teaching private
and group courses since then. At the end of 2002 she was certified
as a health/fitness instructor by the American College of Sports
Medicine ASCM at the Institute for Sports and Sports Science,
University of Basel. The focus of this course included anatomy,
physiology and pathology. Concurrently, Yasemin discovered Pilates
as an ideal training for herself and attended various workshops.
Her enthusiasm for Pilates inspired her to go through the training
programme at Pilates Academy of Switzerland to become a Pilates
personal trainer. At the beginning of 2005 she completed her
training to teach on the mat and on all Pilates apparatus. Since
March 2008, Yasemin has been teaching in the bd pilates studio
in German, English and Turkish.
